sweep aside

1) смахнуть щеткой или рукой;
отталкивать (кого-л., что-л.) в сторону He swept aside the papers on his desk to make room for the computer. ≈ Он смахнул со стола бумаги, чтобы освободить место для компьютера. Sweeping all others aside, she pushed her way to the front. ≈ Расталкивая всех, она пробивалась вперед.
2) не обращать внимания, игнорировать (что-л.) , отмахиваться (от чего-л.) You can't sweep your difficulties aside in that easy manner. ≈ Вы не можете с такой легкостью игнорировать все ваши проблемы.
